We are a group of citizens who are concerned about the potential damage that could be done to the York River and to the Historic Village of Yorktown, Virginia by bringing mega cruise ships up the York River.

Have you ever seen the smaller ships which already visit?

They represent responsible tourism.

American Cruiselines and others bring visitors to Yorktown

via the York River all the time!

APPROPRIATE SHIP SIZES

There is no denying that the approach to Yorktown from the York River is magnificent. But river ships this size do not mar the view for either the onboard guests

or those who are on shore.

We treasure visitors to our historic village and a warm welcome always awaits them! We want to share our history responsibly and appropriately, not through massive character-altering cruise ships.
